About the role.

As the Team Leader for North Brisbane, you'll support and supervise a dedicated team of care workers delivering vital services across aged care, NDIS, and community support programs. You'll be responsible for guiding daily operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and fostering a positive, client-focused team culture. With a strong focus on staff support, rostering oversight, and continuous improvement, you'll play a key role in driving exceptional outcomes for our clients in the region.

Your leadership will help us:

  • Provide strong leadership and support to a team of care workers across community, aged care, and NDIS programs.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Operations Manager and implement directives from executive leadership.
  • Uphold organisational policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment built on respect, professionalism, and open communication.
  • Lead and participate in team meetings, internal reviews, and external forums as required.
  • Support recruitment and deliver structured staff inductions in collaboration with relevant team members.
  • Foster positive relationships with care staff, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and connected to the organisation.
  • Mentor and coach team members, providing practical strategies to manage client relationships and service delivery.
  • Deliver on-the-job training and guidance to maintain high service quality and support staff development.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with coordinators and ensure consistent, client-focused service delivery.

Skills in:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Services/Community Welfare.
  • Demonstrated ability/experience in managing diverse and/or decentralised teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the aged and community care industry and relevant programs and delivery models.
  • Demonstrated understanding of continuous quality improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience or knowledge of service delivery within a Culturally Diverse Community.
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to function in a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Industrial Relations regulations.
  • A Current Police Certificate issued by the Australian Federal Police.
  • A valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • A current First Aid Certificate (including CPR).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • NDIS Orientation Module.
