An opportunity exists for a skilled professional to take on a leadership role focused on improving equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness. This position plays a key role in supporting operational performance and ensuring consistent asset availability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of reliability initiatives
  • Manage budgets related to engineering and maintenance activities
  • Identify and address recurring equipment issues through data analysis and root cause investigation
  • Oversee internal teams and external contractors involved in maintenance and reliability work
  • Coordinate planned maintenance events and shutdowns
  • Monitor asset performance using digital tools and systems
  • Collaborate with operational and technical teams to improve outcomes
  • Ensure alignment with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards

Candidate Profile

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline (Bachelor's Degree)
  • Proven experience in reliability or maintenance leadership roles (5+ years)
  • Proven knowledge of predictive & preventive maintenance (PdM & PM) strategies
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Background in complex operational environments (heavy manufacturing or other) is advantageous
  • Previous use and proven proficiency in CMMS software and reliability analysis tools
  • Candidates with experience in the steel manufacturing industry are strongly encouraged to apply
