ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be a member of our Drake Wellbeing-Hub team and report to the General Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of projects across multiple departments. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and team members. This role requires strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Tasks and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

Project Planning & Initiation

  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource plans, and budgets
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and constraints, and develop mitigation strategies

Execution & Delivery

  • Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment with objectives and deliverables
  • Manage day-to-day project operations, including scheduling, task delegation, and progress tracking
  • Oversee resource allocation and ensure efficient utilisation of personnel and tools

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques (e.g., KPIs, dashboards, reports)
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to management and stakeholders
  • Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the main point of contact between project teams, leadership, and external partners
  • Facilitate communication, resolve conflicts, and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Conduct project review meetings and gather feedback for continuous improvement

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project outcomes
  • Develop contingency plans and proactively manage change requests
  • Ensure compliance with organisational standards and project governance frameworks

Strategy Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Assesses project requirements inclusively and weighs alternatives to ensure optimal delivery and a mix of services and capabilities to meet their broader needs and values
  • Acknowledges their views and beliefs and builds commitment to the organisation beyond immediate service, process or objectives
  • Acts as a thought leader advising stakeholders on PMO best practices, external trends, and Drake solutions that may be advantageous to the client's organisation

ABOUT YOU

To succeed in this position, you will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification preferred
  • 3-7 years of experience managing projects in professional services or healthcare industry
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Experience managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira, Trello, Smartsheet)
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • This role can also be based in Melbourne or Brisbane
